The Tesla Model S 60 KWh intended to fit a segment of the electric vehicle market in a more budget friendly way. Many customers ended up with more expensive models than the S 60 intended, resulting in a decision to discontinue the Tesla Model S 60 (and 60D). The value in the S 60 has brought more people to the Tesla brand by expanding those looking to get into the premium Electric Vehicle line.
